After the first piece of material is situated as desired, lay on the next piece of fiberglass material. Since it has not been saturated, it will be a little bit easier to position. When it is in position, pour or brush resin onto the latest piece of material, making sure that it becomes fully saturated. As before, use a spreader or brush to push out any air bubbles and conform the new material to any creases or crevices. Continue this process until the fiberglass is in the desired shape. Know that you must use some plastic body filler to achieve the final desired shape and surface finish that you want. Allow the fiberglass to cure prior to applying any plastic body filler. The cure time will vary somewhat, depending on ambient temperature and humidity. If the repaired area is still giving off heat or the material is still soft, it has not cured.
